Behind Vintage Bag Collection
Our Vintage Fabric Leather Bags are made with attention to details and quality of the highest standard.
The weaving and looming of these fabrics are made from the Bulgarian people. We work directly with several independent weavers.
The foot looming has been passed down through generations. And at the beginning, it starts of plant fibers and animal wool to produce, by spinning and weaving, textile fabrics used alongside the leather for clothing and home furnishings. The weaver starts with raw cotton, which they clean, dye, and spin into thread. Then the thread is placed on the loom and after that, each artisan makes unique embroidery patterns out of the fabric.
We always select high-quality fabrics which are washed and sewing with hand-cut genuine leather.
These vintage fabrics were woven from Bulgarian artisans who keep this art of weaving through generations that's what makes this bag a masterpiece!
The “Rosette“ which is a design on the #1 bag is a symbol of the cult of the sun and is used as a wish for health and blessing.
The symbol of intertwined colors in the #2 & 3 bags is: the red color is associated with the continuation of life and it is protection of the bad energy; the green color is associated with the ever-resurgent life and connects with the tree of life; the white is a symbol of purity and innocence and the yellow color is associated with the sun which is giving light.
The “Elbetic“ which is a design on the #4 bag symbolizes harmony in the world and in human behavior.
The symbol “Swastika“ which is a design on the # 5 bag is known in the Bulgarian latitude since the early Neolithic period. For people, it embodies hopes of fertility, of success, of love, of joy and of prosperity. This element carries the ritual-magical meaning of protecting from "evil eyes", from sickness.
The symbol of intertwined colors in the #6 bag is: the blue color is associated with trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, truth, and heaven; white is a symbol of purity and innocence and the yellow color is associated with the sun which is giving light.
